Community Value Alliance Joins Forces With Lindenwood University to Offer Educational Seminars for Nonprofits

  • (1888PressRelease) September 07, 2023 - Community Value Alliance (CVA), announces it has joined forces with Lindenwood University to present several seminars geared to enhance the knowledge, strategies, and operational skills for leaders of nonprofits in the St. Louis area. All educational programs will be held at Lindenwood in St. Charles, MO.

    The seminars are scheduled to begin September 20, 2023, and end November 15, 2023. Topics include Skills for Cultivating Group Processes, The Coming of Age of the Gen X Donor, Social Impact Storytelling, Program Evaluation for Mission Impact, How to Move Event Attendees to Donors, Grant Writing from Start to Funded, and three lunch and learn cohorts with experienced nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs.

    Each seminar will be hosted by Dr. Julie Turner, Associate Director, Duree Center for Entrepreneurship, Lindenwood University. Dr. Turner has over twenty-five years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership, having served as a K-12 teacher and administrator, fund development/grant writing expert, and serving in a variety of leadership capacities through organizations such as Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater St. Louis, Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis, Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation, among others. Special guest speakers will help lead various sessions.

    In addition, CVA and Lindenwood also announced a full best practices curriculum called NonProfit 360. NonProfit 360 is designed to educate nonprofit leaders and staff in specific disciplines such as accounting for nonprofit organizations, human resource practices, legal protocols and Implications for charitable organizations, strategic planning, marketing and fund development, board governance and development, and IT and security. Roundtable Councils with CVA, KBL personnel, and subject matter experts will follow the exhaustive 12-week program. CEU credits will be available to attendees for the program scheduled to start later this fall,
