  • (1888PressRelease) March 09, 2024 - ST. LOUIS, MO – Community Value Alliance (CVA), a nonprofit delivering affordable turnkey solutions and services through a single point of contact, highlighted its strong growth serving other nonprofit agencies and honored its board members and corporate partners at a luncheon on February 20, 2024, at The Lodge Des Peres in St. Louis.

Recognized as new corporate partners are Carrollton Bank, Lindenwood University, and Solomon Turner PR. They join Regions Bank, O|Miga, Taligent HR & Talent Solutions, MFP Employee Benefits and HR Services, Stuart Zimmerman, Renaissance Financial, Aegis Law, Enterprise Accounting, Brandvein & Company, Carmody MacDonald, Graphic Connections Group and JLL.

“Our board has depth and experience to guide us as a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit to help our client agencies maintain fluidity with their operations,” said Rachel Covington, Executive Director. “We are set up like a for-profit company where our board and partners help us fulfill our own mission so we can provide the services necessary to help others fulfill theirs.”

Started by a consortium of six for-profit companies to give back to the community, and to infuse best practices into their client nonprofit organizations, CVA strives to enhance both the mission and margin of each nonprofit it works with.

“Our vision is to be the premier business resource for the nonprofit sector,” said Covington. “By delivering specific operational, financial, systems expertise, to include IT, finance, human resources, recruitment/search, legal, board development and strategic planning, CVA has a comprehensive service model.”

CVA vets its talented specialists in the for-profit sector to deliver their services. They walk the client organization throughout the service delivery process while coaching, mentoring, and educating on these services. Its specialists have a history of success.

Covington added CVA, in conjunction with Lindenwood University and Dr. Julie Turner, associate director at Lindenwood’s Duree Center for Entrepreneurship, has also conceived and created a proprietary advanced training program, Nonprofit 360. “This advanced training equips nonprofit leaders with the tools to strengthen their organization. It includes sessions led by field experts and delivered in cohorts of 10-15 participants. Following the sessions, subject matter experts facilitate six roundtable events. The program will ignite the growth of each participant so they can acquire the skills necessary to better serve their organization.”
