Commercial Real Estate Executive Danet Linares Elected Chair of Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce New World Center Committee

  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) July 02, 2014 - Danet Linares, vice chairman of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, has been elected as the chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's New World Center Committee. The Chamber's New World Committee aims to strengthen the voice of the downtown Miami business community by engaging decision makers at the local, state and federal level, and by recruiting new members to become active members of the committee. Ms. Linares also serves on the board of the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

    Ms. Linares, who serves as vice chairman of commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm Blanca Commercial Real Estate, will work with Vice Chair Tadd Schwartz, to support the organization's mission and advance a specific set of objectives, namely furthering the revitalization of greater downtown Miami by making the city's waterfront more accessible to the public and improving conditions at street-level.

    Since joining Blanca Commercial Real Estate in 2009, Ms. Linares has been involved in many of the company's most significant transactions and has contributed greatly to growth of downtown Miami. She has helped spearhead the leasing for 1450 Brickell office tower in the Brickell Financial District; was an integral part of the team that represented law firm White & Case's lease renewal in downtown Miami; and has advised and worked on behalf of numerous tenants and owners at properties across Miami-Dade.

    Ms. Linares is heavily engaged in the business and civic community. In addition to her work with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, she serves on the boards of the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. She is also past president of CREW-Miami (Commercial Real Estate Women).

    Ms. Linares has received numerous accolades in recent years, including being named as an "Influential Businesswoman" and "Commercial Real Estate Heavy Hitter" by the South Florida Business Journal; and a "Top Power Broker" by CoStar. She was also the recipient of NAIOP's 2012 Office Lease Transaction of the Year Award, and was named as a finalist for the organization's 2013 Office Broker of the Year Award.
