  • Sacramento, CA (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2010 - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Sacramento-Tahoe's largest real estate services company, announced today that it has named Jim Day and Clay Sigg, two former executives with Lyon Real Estate, to manage two of its key Sacramento offices.

Formerly senior vice president of Lyon Real Estate, Day has been chosen as the new manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Sacramento-Sierra Oaks office. Sigg, who was also a senior vice president at Lyon, will manage the Sacramento-Fair Oaks office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

"We're obviously excited and proud to have two of the most seasoned and successful real estate executives in the Sacramento area join our company," said Greg Macres, executive vice president for the western region of NRT LLC, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's parent company. "These two industry leaders will help guide Coldwell Banker as we continue to expand our strong position in the Sacramento real estate market."

Kris Vogt, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, said the hiring of the two Lyon executives is a major coop for Coldwell Banker. "Jim and Clay are long-time residents of our area and veterans of the Sacramento housing market who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the industry," he said. "They have a well-deserved reputation for the highest level of professionalism by colleagues and competitors alike. I think they will quickly become a favorite among our agents and customers."

Day had been with Lyon Real Estate as a managing broker since 1988. After graduating from Sacramento State University with a bachelor's degree in business, he started his career in 1976 at a small real estate company that his father owned in Homewood on Lake Tahoe's west shore. In 1983, he moved to the San Diego area and worked at a development company, followed by time in Monterey and San Francisco working in residential and commercial real estate before moving to the Sacramento area and joining Lyon Real Estate.

In his 22 years working with Lyon Real Estate, Day established himself as a well-respected and highly-regarded manager and leader in the Sacramento real estate community. He served as president of the Sacramento Association of Realtors (SAR) from 2001 to 2002, was awarded the organization's title of Realtor of the Year in 2003, served as a director and chairman for the California Association of Realtors, and earned the highly-regarded Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation.

Sigg is a 30 year veteran of Sacramento area real estate. He joined Lyon Real estate in 1987 and most recently served as a company senior vice president. He is also a past president of the Sacramento Association of Realtors and has been honored as Sacramento's Realtor of the Year. He is a published real estate author, an instructor for SAR's Real Estate Training Institute (RETI), and a life member and past president of the SAR Masters Club.

Sigg has served as an elected member of the SAR Board of Directors for 13 years while chairing dozens of formal disciplinary and arbitration tribunals.
