Climate Action 4 To Launch At COP16

  • (1888PressRelease) November 30, 2010 - The fourth edition of Climate Action with be officially launched next Friday in Cancun, Mexico during the 16th Conference of Parties (COP16) during a prestigious cocktail reception, hosted by Climate Action and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

    The 175-page publication contains in-depth and informative articles and features by esteemed authors from governments, intergovernmental organisations, civil society and the private sector. The publications offers insight into the pressing issues surrounding climate change and sustainability whilst presenting practical 'Actions' - steps that businesses and governments can take to reduce their carbon footprint and those companies leading the way in the fight against climate change.

    The official book launch will take place Friday 3rd December during the Climate Action and UNEP cocktail reception at the Now Sapphire Riviera Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. Attendance by invitation only, the cocktail reception offers a unique opportunity for distinguished guests and COP16 delegates to network with Climate Action authors in a relaxed atmosphere. Pavan Suhkdev, Special Adviser and Head of the Green Economy Initiative of UNEP, will be the keynote speaker and open the event. Food and drink will be provided by Grupo Modelo.
