  • Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) April 19, 2011 - The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of National Society of Hispanic MBA's (NSHMBA) will host its eighth annual "Connecting Firms with Hispanic Talent" recruiting event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 30, 2011 at Xavier University's Cintas Center. The roundtable event will give NSHMBA members, Hispanic professionals, job seekers and students the opportunity to network and establish business connections with leading companies in the Greater Cincinnati area.

"It is encouraging to see these companies acknowledge the importance of having bicultural and bilingual employees," NSHMBA's Vice President of Marketing Katy Salach said. "With the recent Census data indicating that 50 percent of the nation's growth in the past 10 years is attributable to Latinos, having knowledgeable resources internally helps companies adapt to a changing cultural landscape."

Procter and Gamble, General Electric, Kroger, Nielsen, Cintas, Fifth Third Bank, State Farm, Luxottica and Cincinnati Children's Hospital will have representatives at the event to meet with prospective employees. NSHMBA encourages those attending to participate in its two free preparatory workshops that include résumé critique and mock interview sessions.

"NSHMBA aims to place its members in leadership positions through events that create value for our members," Salach said. "This opportunity also aligns with our mission to be the partner of choice for organizations recruiting Hispanic talent."

The event includes breakfast and lunch and is free of charge. Registration is available on the organization's website. Participants are encouraged to dress in business attire and bring at least 30 résumés. For more information about the event and NSHMBA, visit www.nshmba.org/cincinnati.
