CIHL Partnership with Air Canada Takes Flight

  • (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2012 - HONG KONG - The CIHL is also delighted to announce Air Canada as partner for the RBC CIHL Intern Program, a new program which will see elite level Canadian hockey players join the CIHL for the 2012-2013 season in addition to gaining valuable work experience at a Hong Kong company. Air Canada will provide assistance as this year's interns make their way from Canada to Hong Kong.

    The Air Canada puck will drop on the 2012-2013 CIHL season on Saturday, October 6, 2012 with two back-to-back games. The first game between the Hong Kong Tycoons and the Macau Aces begins at 8 p.m., while the defending CIHL champions Kowloon Warriors take on the South China Sharks at 9:30 p.m.

    The CIHL has created an online and mobile community through its comprehensive league and team websites, as well as its free iPhone app, available at the iTunes store, which allows fans to access on-demand video clips, game highlights, photographs, statistics, schedules and player information.

    All games are played at Mega Ice, with a game format of three, 12-minute periods of five-on-five hockey.
