Chris Walker's Single "I Got That Love" Hits Top 20 On Urban AC Charts
Pendulum Records in association with Walker Davis Entertainment recording artist Chris Walker returned home from his European tour dates to the news that his single "I Got That Love" broke top 20 with a bullet on the URBAN AC charts.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) August 16, 2011 - The information came just in time for his upcoming promo tour to commemorate the forthcoming release of his 4th solo offering "Zone", which drops on August 29th, 2011. "It's encouraging and uplifting to have radio embracing my new project", says Walker of the news. "Zone" will take listeners on a journey lyrically, musically and touch the deepest emotions of women." This week, Walker kicks off a 15 city promotional tour where he will be visiting early supporters of the record in various markets. The first stop is a visit to BlackAmericaweb.com, for a live performance. Later this month, Walker can be found sharing the stage with the likes of Avant, Jagged Edge and Melanie Fiona at "Road To Circle Of Sisters", a part of WBLS' Summer Concert Series in New York on August 28th, 2011. On September 3rd, Chris Walker will join Brian McKnight, Jennifer Hudson, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Keith Sweat, amongst others, at the 2011 Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando, FL.
Serving as the musical director for the likes of Al Jareau and Regina Belle respectively, the Houston native knows a thing or two about musicality and he skillfully assembles it, passionately on "Zone". Walker takes his listeners on a journey with his conversations about love and life. "I Got That Love", produced by Walker, is a culmination of some of the influences Walker credits with his love of music including Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye. Paying homage to one of his favorite late great influences, Walker has his own soulful rendition of Luther Vandross' "If Only For One Night".
