  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) June 08, 2012 - Chocolat, the trendy Italian bistro, creperie and cremerie with locations in Hillcrest and the Gaslamp Quarter, has enjoyed one month of sweet successes as one of few local restaurants selected this year to open in PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres.

The Chocolat kiosk opened for business on the ballpark's Opening Day, April 5, 2012, at (insert location here). Chocolat also has points of sale at Suh-weet Alley, located at Section 206 on the Toyota terrace and a location at the Sony Home Plate Club, which serves 250 people each game in the most luxurious seats in the stadium.

The kiosk at PETCO Park serves as a model for future Chocolat franchising and licensing. "We are excited about the relationship and look forward to expanding the concept," said Alessandro Minutella, founder of the U.S. Chocolat concept. "As we continue to seek out additional opportunities in the future, PETCO Park seemed like the perfect location to initiate this expansion."

The kiosk, which will be open for home games, serves six gelato flavors, one savory crepe, and one sweet crepe.
