Jaworski, Ph.D. has been named President of the organization. Dr. Jaworski will steer the organization forward to achieve its mission to end childhood brain tumors forever and offer genuine hope and help to survivors and families affected by this disease. Dr. Jaworski will design and lead the organization’s 30th Anniversary Campaign in 2018 to expand program impact and reach.

    Dr. Jaworski has over 20 years of experience in leadership positions in the non-profit sector, raising over $275 million in that time He was Senior Vice President of Development at Autism Speaks, where he led the national fundraising program. Dr. Jaworski also served as Executive Director of the American Hospital of Paris Foundation, a New York City-based nonprofit that raises funds and awareness, in the United States, for the American Hospital of Paris. There, Dr. Jaworski designed and ran the hospital’s fundraising campaign to build a major cancer diagnosis center. He has also worked in leadership positions at the New York Academy of Medicine and at Lincoln Center, among others.

    Before becoming a nonprofit executive, Dr. Jaworski enjoyed a rewarding 20-year career as an academic sociologist, college professor and author. He received a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship and recognition in Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. His Master’s degree and Ph.D. are from the New School for Social Research in New York City, where he also resides.
