The Cherry Bomb Charmers junior roller derby team is a recreational women's flat-track roller derby team based in Orange Park, Florida. The Charmers are a FULL CONTACT roller derby team. "Don't be fooled by the word 'junior' here," said Charmers President and General Manager Dana Wolfe, "This is roller derby. The only difference between junior derby and adult derby is the age of our skaters." The rule set used in junior roller derby is virtually identical to "adult" league roller derby - which is being considered for inclusion in the 2020 Olympics.

Roller derby is played by two teams of five girls, all skating in the same direction around a track. Play consists of a series of short, two-minute scoring opportunities, during which a previously designated scoring player (the "jammer") scores points by lapping members of the opposing team. Both teams assist their respective jammers while trying to block the opposing jammer.

The Cherry Bomb Charmers Junior Roller Derby is the fastest growing recreational roller derby team in north Florida. "We experienced phenomenal growth in 2013," said Wolfe, "North Florida parents have really embraced our family-friendly league, and we're hoping to introduce roller derby to still more girls in 2014."

The Cherry Bomb Charmers practice on Sundays (from 6:00pm - 8:00pm) and on Tuesdays (from 5:00pm - 7:00pm) at the Skate Station Funworks of Orange Park, located at 230 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park, Florida. Girls between the ages of 10-17, who are interested in joining the Cherry Bomb Charmers, are invited to attend any of the Charmers' practices during Open Recruitment in January (beginning January 7th).

The goal of the Cherry Bomb Charmers junior roller derby team is to encourage skaters to realize their full Potential and to empower them to become courageous young women, radiating confidence on and off the track. As a Charmer, junior derby skaters learn lifelong team-building skills; they learn strength and independence, all the while celebrating their own individuality and unique identity in an atmosphere of sisterhood and family-like stewardship.
