Character-Driven Auto Birthday App Launches for iPhone
Now available on the Apple App Store, a birthday reminder app focusing on a mascot's charm.
- (1888PressRelease) May 22, 2013 - THAILAND - Available today, the app Auto Birthday aims to replace the hassle of tracking friends' birthdays and turn it into a fun experience. Upon launching the app, the character Auto introduces himself as a friendly assistant. He syncs the app with the user's Facebook account, importing all friends and their birthdays. No further action is needed, as reminders are set up automatically. Upcoming birthdays are shown in speech bubbles - no menus are needed!
Behind the character is a full-fledged birthday app. The user can choose to be alerted days or weeks in advance and pick the preferred time of day it occurs. If notifications and badges are intrusive, they can be turned off from the app.
Recent birthdays are organized in Passed, Today and Upcoming groups. Users can browse through large portraits, easily identifying each friend from a glance. Flags mark the number of friends born on each date on a calendar.
Tapping on a portrait anywhere - be it from the speech bubble, the groups or the calendar - allows the user to post a birthday wish directly to the friend's Facebook wall. An eCard from an included collection is attached to the post, enhancing the wish.
Auto Birthday is available for free on the Apple App Store worldwide. It requires iOS 6.0, a Facebook account, and is optimized for iPhone 5. It also supports iPhone 4 and iPod Touch.
