  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2014 - Hollywood's bravest talent battled at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, this past weekend raising thousands of dollars for Adrian Paul's PEACE Fund and its supported charities while trending on twitter. The first annual celebrity paintball tournament was host to a star-studded roster, paintball professionals, fans from Los Angeles to San Diego and even those at home. The Hunger Games styled event was the first interactive paintball tournament, where fans who anxiously watched from home were able to help their favorite teams by donating "resources," to give them advantages in the game. Attendees enjoyed a day of festivities, including paintball challenge courses and a celebrity paintball battle while raising funds and awareness for PEACE Fund, a charity that is committed to educating and protecting children around the world.

    Celebrity attendees lead their teams into battle on Saturday, fighting for the top 3 spots, while representing the charities closest to their hearts. After a rigorous and colorful game, Rene and Casey Nezhoda, Stefano Langone, Dalal Bruchmann, Carrie Keagan, Luke Goss, Ryan Edge and Ryan Greenspan were victorious, earning donations for both PEACE Fund and their "districts," PADRES Contra El Cáncer, The Animal Welfare Institute and Saint Judes Research. The painted carpet was also graced by, PEACE Fund founder, Adrian Paul, Bail Ling, Matthew Espinosa (Social Influencer), NFL stars Hank Baskett, Jackie Long (Real Husbands of Hollywood), Kyle Massey (Dancing with the Stars), Wesley Jonathan (What I Like About You), Stefano Langone (American Idol Finalist), Robbie Jones (Tyler Perry's Temptation) and Carrie Keagan, to name a few. Southern California's most elite paintball professionals also played to support PEACE Fund's inspirational cause, including San Diego Dynasty, CP Raiders, Edmonton Impact and Team Ironmen. Sunday was an epic paintball battle, led by Adrian Paul and Carrie Keagan, with Adrian's team earning the title of PEACE Fund's first champions.

    The initiatives The Peace Fund put forward in 2014, were building houses in the Dominican Republic, facilitating and sending hygiene kits to children in Haiti, raised funds for a young transplant patient in dire need of an operation and provided funding for the building of two wells in Niger West Africa, the world's poorest country 2014 saw the launch of three other initiatives for the Fund. The first was an interactive platform for charities in partnership with Microsoft, to share their ideas and cross platform resources. The second, was the first, Peace Fund Celebrity Poker Tournament that raised money for wells in Niger West African in partnership with Wells Bring Hope. The third was a celebrity paintball event, "The Peace Fund Games", where celebrities, professional paintballers and the general public went head to head, to raise money and awareness for kids in need.
