  • (1888PressRelease) September 10, 2013 - Cathy Richardson Band spoofed Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's headline (and crotch) grabbing performance at the MTV Video Music Awards at their sold out City Winery show last Friday night.

Richardson has been fronting Paul Kantner's Jefferson Starship since 2008 but her band has been a hometown favorite in Chicago since the early 90s.

Her band features JGB alum Jude Gold on guitar, who recently joined Jefferson Starship to fill in for Slick Aguilar. Fiddle player Anne Harris regularly steals the show for trance blues innovator Otis Taylor, but here takes the opportunity to show off her twerking skills- and again- steals the show.

The rhythm section is rounded out by Steven Gillis (Filter) on drums and Greg Panciera (Macrodots) on bass and the song is Making A List from Richardson's 2007 release Delusions of Grandeur. A fan captured video of the hilarious moment can be found on Richardson's YouTube channel. Watch here: http://youtu.be/ekS1dnrYz3k?t=1m30s.
