  • (1888PressRelease) November 04, 2014 - Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is teaming up with its nationwide network of referrers for the third annual donation drive for the National Military Family Association's Operation PurpleŽ program. For each new student referred by the school's referral network in the month of November, Career Step will donate $50. The school is hoping to beat last year's donation of $5,500.

"Our referral network is made up of amazing people, many whom have strong ties to the military," said Vonda Andrews, Career Step Referral Rewards Program Manager. "Our yearly donation to Operation PurpleŽ provides the opportunity to strengthen this community through our referral efforts. We not only help new students find Career Step, and realize the change education can make in their lives, but also support a great cause that strengthens and lifts military children and families."

Career Step's donations to the National Military Family Association have been designated for the Operation PurpleŽ program, which this past summer organized four Family Retreats, four Healing Adventures, and thirteen Operation PurpleŽ camps. These programs all focus on helping military families cope with the stress of deployment, homecoming and injuries by providing opportunities to connect with others in similar situations, learn positive communication techniques and make positive memories. Operation PurpleŽ camps fully embrace being "purple" and are open to military children of all ranks and services, from both active and reserve components.

"Career Step has had the opportunity to help more than 13,000 military spouses and service members over the years, and we have designed and currently participate in a number of initiatives to support these individuals in pursuing their education and career goals," said Career Step Military Liaison Tim Reynolds. "We look forward to our annual donation drive for the Military Family Association each year as it gives us the opportunity to strengthen this community on a much more personal level. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to help support these families. This is a cause very close to our hearts, and we hope to see a lot of support this year."

Career Step's Referral Rewards Program offers resources and incentives for those interested in telling others about Career Step's career-training programs. In celebration of National Military Appreciation Month, Career Step will be donating $50 for every referred student enrolling in the month of November in addition to paying the normal bonus to the referrer.
