On Sunday, March 12th, 2017 Beat will host a special performance from Brian Thomas & Alex Lee Clark's 20 Piece Big Band from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. Guests can enjoy Beat's signature dishes and innovative hand-crafted cocktails while the Big Band performs the latest and greatest huge funk grooves and expressive textural colors from their recently recorded two-disc album "The Herd Sessions!"

    Brian Thomas & Alex Lee Clark Big Band formed in 2011 and have quickly gained a reputation for featuring some of the best players in Boston, their great compositions and creating a sound that pushes the art of big band forward, resulting in an entertaining atmosphere for both the band and audience. Boston based trombonist Brian Thomas is one of the most sought after musicians in the country, playing music ranging from jazz to funk. He has been playing trombone since the age of 10 in his hometown of Rochester, NY. Brian Thomas will performing with Alex Lee-Clark, who has played with the Temptations and the Four Tops (just to name a few) and has crafted a unique and exciting sound by blending jazz and pop sensibilities. He is a trumpet player, composer, and arranger currently living and teaching in Boston and is currently an in-demand performer.

    Enjoy the unique sounds of Brian Thomas & Alex Lee-Clark's Big Band while savoring flavorful dishes from Beat's Executive Chef James Lyons that include Maple Glazed Squash with Burrata cheese, pecans and sage ($13.50), Veal Saltimboca with prosciutto, swiss cheese, broccoli and spinach ($27) and Moullard Duck Breast with roasted green and purple Brussels sprouts, pecans, sherry and tangerine ($28).
