Interested poets should send name, email address, and phone number with a PDF version of two sample poems, or copy of poems in body of the email, to TheFaceOfPoetry ( @ ) mindspring dot com (no other attachments will be accepted) dot Deadline for submissions is October 10, 2012 dot Not all poets who submit a sample poem will be included in this reading event dot Themes are currently open and the event is family-friendly dot With a planned two-hour event, each author may be able to read five to six poems, each poem not to be longer than one page in length dot

    U GALLERY & BOUTIQUE is a fully functional combination "Art Space" and boutique. Unique handcrafted jewelry and art pieces produced by our clients through the Universal therapy programs are available for sale. Gallery U in Red Bank holds monthly group art shows featuring local established and emerging artists. Our receptions are open to the public. We also feature music events, poetry readings, film screenings, and more. Gallery U is an extension of Universal Rehabilitation Institute, which services adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Gallery U is a vocational training program whose goal is to introduce people with TBI back into the workforce and community.

    Clients at Universal Institute take part in all aspects of running Gallery U including inventory, completing transactions, organizing new items, checking and responding to emails, customer service, and more.     Suzann Brucato was born in Union City and moved to Fords, New Jersey where she lived until she was married in 1990. She attended Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Montclair State University where she graduated cum laude. She and her husband Paul celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2010 and have two children, John and Maria. With many years as a corporate business analyst and consultant, Suzann became a small business owner in 2003. In addition to enjoying gardening, photography, and painting, Suzann finds writing to be her balance. Suzann has published in many small press journals and anthologies, with Matriarch ~ A Journey Through Tradition her first published full collection that conveys the importance of family traditions as a contribution to ensuing generations. www.MatriarchJourney.com
