  • (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2013 - WINTER PARK, Fla. - You might call bakery owner Larry Bach the father of the cake shooter; he was the first to fill a push up container with cake, frosting and other goodies from Sprinkles Custom Cakes in Winter Park, Florida. He sold thousands of them all across the country and was even featured on ABC's "Good Morning America," which prompted orders for 1,200 dozen cake shooters in just an hour.

Now, Bach is launching his own version of the containers through his new company, CakeShooters Inc.

The idea is simple - the new version is square instead of round. That seemingly small change makes a big difference for bakeries, caterers and restaurants.

"With round containers, which were designed for gelato, there is a lot of waste," says Bach. "It takes more time to cut circles and a lot of the cake goes to waste, which eats into your profits. I had made thousands of desserts in the round containers and always thought there had to be a better way to do this."

This video shows the advantages of the square design. The new square CakeShooterŪ is designed for a full serving of cake. By including the formally-wasted corners, the contents are 35% bigger than what could fit into the round push up containers.

Bach has a design patent for the square containers and has trademarked the CakeShooter name. Any business using the new square CakeShooter containers has permission to use the CakeShooter name in marketing their product.

CakeShooters Inc. sells only empty containers, leaving it up to bakeries, caterers, food truck owners and others to decide what treats to fill them with. The variations of what can be put into the CakeShooter are almost infinite. Any bakery or caterer is limited only by their imagination. They are perfect for any occasion, including birthdays, weddings, parties, bar mitzvahs or as promotional giveaways.

The new square CakeShooter containers are made in the U.S.A., using carefully controlled food-grade plastic.

CakeShooters are available in cases of 144 at a cost of $99 per case.
