  • (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2011 - Bulldozer trenching on the West Zone of the Don Luis Silver-Gold-Tungsten Greisen-Porphyry Property was completed. It continued trench infilling in the East Zone and this was completed by the end of the week. The bulldozer was then decommissioned. Reconnaissance drilling was continued in the East Zone of Don Luis. One reverse circulation hole was enlarged for the first 30 meters with a large diameter tricone bit (left picture, or on website) to serve as a water well for the ranchers. This was particularly welcomed by them because there was generally no water available in this remote part of their ranch, which limited the ability to graze cows in this area. Believe me, this was much appreciated, and will aid us in future negotiations for continued surface access.

Colin Godwin attended the 5th Resource Conference, Ljubljana, Slovenia (center picture, or on website). He presided over a poster display and gave a half-hour Power Point presentation that emphasized Rome's exploration on, and potential of, the Don Luis Silver-Gold-Tungsten Greisen-Porphyry Property. He also outlined the work to be undertaken by Rome on the La Colorada - Esmeralda Project, and the La Colorada - LCL-5 Project. Both of these projects seek bulk tonnage, open-pit gold mines. If anyone is interested in copies of these presentations please contact Colin Godwin directly at cigodwin ( @ ) romeresources dot com dot

Next week drilling on the Central Zone at Don Luis should be completed. Permission from the rancher for surface access to start work on the La Colorada - Esmeralda Project will be obtained if we receive the required documents from the Mines Department in Mexico City.
