Buckskin Creations introduces a Special Edition White Buffalo ornament.
- Albuquerque, NM (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2013 - This finely crafted white leather ornament is reminiscent of "Big Medicine", a white buffalo born on the National Bison Range (1933-1959), located only a few miles from our home.
Buckskin Creations was founded by Melissa Michel in the mid 1990's as a Native American family owned and operated art business located on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Western Montana, USA. As Kootenai Indians, our homeland is nestled at the foot of the Mission Mountains with Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks only a few hours away, we have endless natural inspiration. All items are certified Native American Made.
Specializing in ornaments with Native American and Wildlife themes. Our ornaments are wonderful for a Western theme Christmas tree, special gifts for display, and for summer curio treasure collections. Each ornament is handcrafted individually and is adorned with a hand painted design, bead work, and unique materials.
The Dancing Doll Line was developed to highlight the Northern Traditional Native dancers and many other dance styles. Each doll is made out of leather and is adorned with beaded leather outfits, jingles, and traditional wear. Some of our dolls are made to to actually dance in the display cases with magnetic power. Each doll is uniquely inspired by the local traditions and the powwow trail.
Our display and framed arts are produced on request. We make a variety of full scale Native American utilitarian arts such full sized bow/arrow/quiver sets, beaded pipes, leather pipe bags, knives, hand drums and numerous other items. Along with framed miniature replicas displayed in deep shadow box matting, with stunning inlayed frames. Very collectable pieces. We take pride in developing and sharing our unique hand crafted items.
