  • (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2021 - St. Louis Attorney Brian G. Quinn, owner of Quinn Estate & Elder Law LLC, in West County, MO has received certification as a Certified Elder Law Attorney® (CELA®) by The National Elder Law Foundation (NELF), the only elder law program accredited by the American Bar Association.

A Certified Elder Law Attorney® is more than just an attorney who specializes in the field of elder law. CELAs are committed, through certification, to maintaining and improving their proficiency with continual practice and continuing legal education. Becoming certified in elder law validates a lawyer’s specialty to handle issues that affect senior citizens.

CELAs can provide high-level advice on a number of senior-related issues such as health and long-term care planning; public benefits (such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Veterans’ benefits); conservation, disposition and administration of estates (including wills, trusts and probate); surrogate decision-making (powers of attorney and guardianship); establishment of the legal capacity of an older person; and special needs counseling (trusts, housing, employment and education).

“I am humbled and proud to be among the very few attorneys in the St. Louis region who have earned CELA certification. The certification provides clients with the confidence that their attorney has a high level of knowledge and experience, and is well prepared to assist them with any pertinent legal issue regarding elderly law,” Quinn said.

Quinn is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia and the St. Louis University School of Law. He serves individual and business clients in a variety of legal matters, especially in the areas of estate planning, asset protection planning, Medicaid planning, VA benefits, and elder law.

Named a “Rising Star” in the Missouri/Kansas region by the Super Lawyers Magazine for the years 2014 – 2017 and a Super Lawyer each year since 2018, Quinn has also held multiple positions with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’ (BAMSL) Young Lawyer’s Division. His dedication to community outreach has earned him BAMSL’s Award of Merit. Quinn also served as President of the Missouri chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), a national organization specializing in estate planning, elder law, special needs and other related legal solutions.
