According to Chiocchi, "We conducted a comprehensive survey of Boomer attitudes, feelings, aspirations and plans in late 2009, and then asked how these aspects of their lives have been affected by this severe econoimc meltdown. That survey, and the resulting personal stories, became the cornerstone of the book.

Chiocchi said the book, "is much more than just data. We explain in laymnen's terms how this meltdown occured and deliver invididual profiles of how Boomers across the economic spectrum have been affected."

"Their stories are very powerful," Chiocchi added, "from the high six-figure Wall Street trader now tending bar, to the mid-level Citigroup exec who lost both his job and most of his life savings, to a successful auto dealer who nearly lost everything because of Chrysler's bankruptcy. The personal storeis are powerful and compellling.

Chiocchi said that Brandloft was well suited to take on this project, using its expertiese in in-depth qualitative interviewing and online research to adddress on of the most important social problems of our time.
