  • (1888PressRelease) February 22, 2013 - Tel Aviv - Bootcamp Ventures, the innovation global platform connecting promising tech startups with international investors, has announced today that five accelerators from Europe and the United States will participate at iX TLV 2013 to search for Israeli talent for their programs. In its fifth year, the Innovation Exchange (iX), held March 5-6, 2013 at the Peres Peace Center, will focus on democratizing the investment process; opening up new business opportunities between international financial and strategic investors and upcoming entrepreneurs.

At iX TLV 2013, 30 of the most talented and innovative tech startups, from big data, digital media, health mobile apps, cloud and more will pitch to top investors from more than 15 different countries. Among the renowned international investors attending iX TLV 2013 are Jeff Karras from SingTel Ventures, Dr. Abdul Malik Al-Jaber, founder and CEO of MENA Apps and Jacques Benkoski, partner at US Venture Partners.

For the first time, international accelerators will attend iX TLV to learn about how to address the problem many of their graduates face six to twelve months after completing the program, -the lack of appropriate guidance and channels to allow post seed start-ups to scale globally- often leading to failure. By joining iX TLV, the accelerators will benefit from Bootcamp Ventures' international network and further enhance their mutual partnership. With the active support from Bootcamp Ventures, accelerator graduates will learn the global language of international investors' - along with their Israeli counterparts seeking to scale beyond their local markets.

Attending accelerators include H-Camp, based in Italy, the UK, US and India, having invested over €12 million for 30 startups to-date; LeCamping, French accelerator, who played a major part in the rise of the French digital economy; Russian Ideal Machine, a startup accelerator based in St. Petersburg with $190,000 venture financing; Beta Challenge, Lisbon-based accelerator currently looking for 300 entrepreneurs to participate in their program; and Nielsen Ventures' recently launched technological incubator in Haifa, Israel, in partnership with the Israeli Office of the Chief Scientist.

"We're excited to see that the Israeli startup scene raises such a huge interest within the international community," says Esther Loewy, co-founder of BCV. "The fact that so many international investors and prestigious accelerators will join iX TLV 2013 is proof that the democratization of the investment playing field is already happening. What matters is innovative technology and not where the entrepreneurs are from, usually a determining factor in having or not having accessibility to investors."
