  • (1888PressRelease) February 22, 2011 - New York, NY - Bill White, retired President of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will be proudly serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The Fund announced in early February that Bill White was recently voted onto the Board of Trustees of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

    Bill White is certain to be an excellent choice given his extensive and successful history with the Intrepid family of foundations. Bill White previously served as President of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Intrepid Relief Fund and the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum before retiring from the Museum in 2010.

    While serving as President of the Intrepid family of foundations and lead director at their sister organizations, Bill White led its fund raising totaling more than $600 million. He managed operations, management, strategic planning and branding for the Intrepid Foundations, leading a team of over 250 professionals and thousands of volunteer personnel over the years. Bill White spearheaded the $115 million capital Campaign for the 2006-08 restoration of the museum, building the Intrepid brand to an internationally respected one.

    The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund announced Bill White's recent return on their website in early February, stating, "We are also happy to announce that Bill White has rejoined the Fund's Board of Trustees. For almost two decades Bill has been one of our nation's greatest champions for those who have served in our military and we are pleased to welcome him back."

    The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund also announced that David Winters, longtime Executive Vice President of the Fund, was appointed as President of the Fund and that American Patriot, and someone who does much for veterans, Georgette Mosbacher will also join the Board of Trustees.

    According to their website, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was established as an independent not-for-profit organization in 2003 and is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. The Fund has provided close to $120 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund efforts are funded entirely with donations from the public, and hundreds of thousands of individuals have contributed to the Fund.

    Bill White currently serves as Chairman and CEO Constellations Group, a strategic consulting firm that advises corporations, foundations, and high net worth individuals with their business challenges and philanthropic and business endeavors.
