  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2020 - Southern California based producer and songwriter Betty Moon has announced that her music has been again included on the ballot for the upcoming GRAMMY Awards, set for a TBD date in early 2021. On the heels of her much buzzed Summer album ‘Little Miss Hollywood’, the singles “The Liar” and “Don’t Stop Now” along with the aforementioned release are on the ballot for official nomination voting this November.

‘Little Miss Hollywood’ (LMH) was released digitally on July 31st, and despite the challenging year music has experienced, Moon saw widespread media support of the effort from American Songwriter, Celebmix, Consequence of Sound, Discobelle, New Noise, Hype Machine, Substream, Spill and dozens of others. As fans of Betty Moon both new and old seek out quality music, the success of LMH is a testament to Moon keeping up with an ever-changing industry while making music that is authentic and unwavering from her brand. LMH blends elements of old school Betty Moon and her modern electronic/pop infused direction to create music that The Other Side Reviews says “grips you and takes you on a sonic journey” and “covers everything she has to offer from old-school rock to soulful downtempo songs to electronic-pop blasts.”

“It’s always an honor and unique opportunity to be associated with anything GRAMMY” says Moon. “I’m crossing my fingers that this ballot inclusion leads to an official nomination, and am confident that those that vote in the industry along with my family, friends and most importantly my fans will come through on getting us there.”

Since being signed to a major label in the 90’s, Betty Moon has been known as a queen of DIY work ethic and has since self-released 9 albums via her own label Evolver Music, Inc. Moon has continued to defy industry trends, earning worldwide retail airplay, online and college radio rotation and record numbers via over 10,000 Spotify followers, 1.6M+ Facebook fans and over 50,000 followers on Instagram.

Moon’s music draws influence from underground sounds ranging from rock, soul, punk rock, electronic and electro-pop soaked with aggressive, empowering, yet somehow soothing, electrifying the listener with it’s big bold energy. Moon wrote, produced and mixed LMH, which continues to inject genuine sex appeal, soulful vocal prowess and massive production all the while experimenting with new sounds and modern genre trends. Her latest album ‘Little Miss Hollywood’ was released this Summer and is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.
