Bethesda Gardens presents $5000 to three organizations to help provide assistance for their students and clients

  • Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) May 22, 2012 - Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living Community in Phoenix, AZ will present three checks totaling $5000 from their Community Benefit Grant program to the Phoenix First Assembly Chaplaincy Program, the Area Agency on Aging DOVES program and Arizona Christian University. All three of these organizations will be honored at Bethesda Gardens Top of the Town Open House Gala for their work within the local community. The gala will be held Thursday, May 10th from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be hosted at the Community located at 13825 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix AZ 85022.

    The Phoenix First Assembly Chaplaincy Program will utilize the grant monies to help fund the startup of a website for the chaplaincy program to continue. The DOVES program is designed to provide services to victims of late life domestic violence and elder abuse. Arizona Christian University has taught and trained students in many aspects of education, music, ministry and community services for well over fifty years. This grant will provide student scholarships in two areas closely aligned with seniors, pre-med and behavioral sciences.

    Bethesda Gardens selects qualified organizations each year for their Community Benefit Grant. Organizations are selected based on their commitment to the senior community and how the program will benefit seniors in the local area. Applications will be accepted for the 2013 Community Benefit Grant beginning in January.
