  • (1888PressRelease) April 11, 2018 - MIAMI, Florida - ISO 17025-accredited radiocarbon dating and stable isotopes laboratory Beta Analytic invites participants of the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archaeology (SAA) to visit its booth during the five-day event slated to begin on April 11, 2018, at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC. Beta Analytic Deputy Director and Technical Manager Chris Patrick and the lab’s North American Operations Manager Brett Bell will be available for consultation at Booth #205.

Aside from radiocarbon dating by Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS), the lab also provides stable isotope analysis for various materials including bones, carbonates and water. “Many researchers are still not aware that Beta Analytic accepts samples for stable isotopes analysis with or without radiocarbon dating. Researchers with non-cremated bones, for example, won’t have to send their samples to two separate labs if they want to have the material dated and the d13C and d15N isotopes measured," Mr. Bell said. The lab is also promoting its first-ever radiocarbon date raffle to SAA members.

Beta Analytic supports the SAA by joining its annual meeting as an exhibitor. This year, the AMS lab is also a sponsor of the SAA Student Paper Award.
