It is a destination for seamsters to rally and create -- a space to work on anything they can imagine! This sewing lounge offers classes, but even better, owner Bella Lofaso Brancato offers her expertise and support.

The Studio is the perfect way to meet new people, learn sewing techniques, and test drive the latest sewing machines. Bella's Studio's goal is to make sewing more accessible, let seamsters work with one another, and pass on the skills to the next generation of fashionistas and crafters.

Early Camp for the Younger Crowd whose summer is already full of activities.
Start off the summer by crafting & sewing fun, easy projects. Sock monsters, travel pillow & other sewing surprises await our first campers during this week-long creative fest. No sewing experience necessary, just a desire to learn a new craft and meet new friends.

Begin to Sew For the Young Ones
This camp is specially designed for younger kids who have never sewn but can't wait to learn. Fun, adorable projects will teach hand-sewing techniques, in addition to letting campers use a sewing machine. Travel pillow case, chicken pin cushion, hand embroidery stitches and more.

3 Fashionable Weeks!

Last summer's Fashionista Camp was so much fun that Bella's Studio has added an extra week devoted to Fashion Illustration. This Illustration week can be for the "nonsewers" who want to illustrate their designs & create Fashion Mood boards. The next two weeks will be devoted to sewing their designs. At the end of the 3 weeks, students will debut their fashion illustrations& garments with a fashion show!

Guest instructor, Martha Tonkin, has years of experience teaching Art, Fashion Illustration & Merchandising. Bella is thrilled to offer students such a knowledgeable & inspiring instructor. Students will learn how to create a fashion mood board, draw the fashion figure, using watercolor pencils, micron pens and create a fashion journal.

Fashionista Week 2 & 3

Sewn Ensembles
Cute flowing tops, comfy summer dresses, easy lounging pants - so many options for our budding fashionistas. We will start camp with a up-cycled-repurposed garment. A field trip to Hart's Fabric Store in Santa Cruz will introduce students to the dazzling world of contemporary textiles and let them purchase their Summer Ensemble pattern and fabric.

· Cost: $260 per week (Students will purchase their project fabric separately)

Cute & Cuddly
Sock monsters, stuffed animals & hand embroidery ~ this camp is all about creating a menagerie of cute, cuddly & expressive stuffed animals. Inspired by the kooky sock monster craze, campers will learn how to fashion items out of socks and other materials.

· Time: 10-2
· Ages: 8-14
· Cost: $260 per week

Quilting
Traditional quilting takes on modern flair as campers learn to stitch bold, colorful shapes in a contemporary snuggle quilt. The snuggle quilt provides the perfect canvas for creative expression while students learn to make something they can use every day to cuddle under.

Pillows & Totes
Kids need totes to carry all their "techie" gadgets, sports clothes, snacks & school supplies -- so why not carry around a customized one! They'll also love a cozy, creative statement pillow to lay their heads on at the end of a busy day.
