  • (1888PressRelease) November 06, 2012 - Winner of best energy event 2012 at the Conference Awards, the Smart Grids Summit returns for its 4th year and has the support of BDEW (Federal association of the energy and water industries) and Eurelectric (the European electricity industry association).

    BDEW is the German Association of Energy and Water Industries and represents 1,800 companies. The spectrum of the Association's members ranges from local and municipal utilities to regional and inter-regional suppliers. Mr Benjamin Schulz, Unit Manager Smart Grids, Division Grids and Regulation from BDEW will be speaking about implementation of smart grids in Germany at this summit.

    In addition, the focus of EURELECTRIC's networks committee is to represent European DSOs with one voice towards European Institutions and stakeholders. Several international working groups support the Committee on issues such as smart grids, electric vehicles, network regulation and customers, TSO-DSO interface and standardisation. Mr Gunnar Lorenz, Head of Unit, Network at EURELECTRIC will be the chairman of the event.

    The Smart Grids summit will welcome also RWE, ERDF, EDP, Vattenfall, E-ON and many other energy industry leading companies on 28th-30th January 2013 in Berlin, Germany. The summit offers a unique platform for over 200 energy industry experts to network, discuss and share their industry expertise.
