BASF adds tail gas treatment catalysts to its adsorbents solution portfolio

  • (1888PressRelease) December 22, 2010 - The Haldor Topsøe products covered by this agreement are the TK-220 quadralobe extrudates, TK-222 rings, and TK-224 spheres. The agreement covers all regions of the world, with the exception of the United States and Canada.

    BASF will manage the business through its Adsorbents group, which is part of the Process Catalysts and Technologies business. The tail gas treatment catalysts associated with this agreement are complementary to BASF’s existing adsorbent product portfolio, which includes titania and alumina products for Claus catalyst applications; other proprietary aluminas; specialty alumino-silica gels, such as Sorbead® and KC-Trockenperlen®; petrochemical purification products, such as Selexsorb® and PuriStar®; and bentonites, such as F-24 and NovaSil™.

    As part of this agreement, BASF will assume full responsibility for sales and distribution of the tail gas treatment catalysts in the applicable global regions.
