Barrisol Mirror(r) Showcased At 100% Design In London
Barrisol Normalu SAS of France, a specialist in innovative stretched fabrics for walls and ceilings, has released its new Barrisol Mirror® range, which will be showcased at the 100% Design trade show in London, to be held from 18 to 21 September 2013.

The true mirror-like highly reflective properties of the material used in making Barrisol Mirror® ensure an exceptional surface appearance that can be used to accentuate detail, highlight decorative or focal features, brighten dull or plain surfaces, add visual effects, and increase depth and height within interior spaces, while being easy to fit. Barrisol Mirror® enhances and defines spaces, multiplying sub- areas within those spaces, and provides designer chic to rooms. Both the gold and silver versions of the Barrisol Mirror® range are certain to provide any space with a unique ambience.
Barrisol Mirror® offers a unique design that can be customized as per clients' needs. Barrisol Mirror® is lightweight (at 300g per m², or 1.20 kg per m² including the frame) and is specifically designed to be mounted on aluminium frames available in rectangular, round, triangular or square shapes. Whether using hints of mirrors to provide luminosity or large, cascading frames to expand the space, Barrisol Mirror® is suited to any kind of environment.
Thanks to its micro-perforations, Barrisol Mirror® lets light filter through it and interacts with surroundings, using lighting that is more or less intense depending on the size and shape of the perforations. Combined with the mirror design, the material delivers light in transition stages.
In a similar way, Barrisol Normalu SAS has adapted its Barrisol Mirror Acoustic® process to Barrisol Mirror®. In this case, the designer frame of the Barrisol Mirror® canvas merges into the background, while preserving the audio properties of enclosed spaces by reducing reverberation. The space then turns into a designer cocoon that will ensure a warm ambience, while preserving a neat designer atmosphere.
For its part, the Barrisol Mirror® Imprimé can highlight any decoration when a pattern is printed directly onto the mirror surface.
These three options - namely Barrisol Mirror Lumineux®, Barrisol Mirror Acoustic® and Barrisol Mirror® Imprimé - provide interior designers and architects with an inventive palette of bespoke solutions.
Barrisol Normalu SAS believes that safety and quality are key priorities: in keeping with the entire range of Barrisol® products, Barrisol Mirror® is 100% compliant with CE standards and is manufactured using phthalate-free plasticisers, which are guaranteed not to contain any cadmium, mercury or arsenic.
Barrisol® is classified for fire protection in line with all relevant European and international standards (BS2-D0). All fire tests and smoke tests have confirmed that it meets all existing requirements, for both premises open to the public and privately owned properties. Finally, walls and ceilings stretched with Barrisol® are labelled A+ (i.e. the highest mark), in compliance with current legislation regarding indoor air quality.
The sale price for the Barrisol Mirror® stretched canvas (gold or silver version) starts at €220 per m² (price of fabric once it has been laid). The product line has been launched in 2013.
