Unbeknownst to most Americans, the start of Oktoberfest, Germany's 16-day autumn festival that originated in 1870, does not take place in October, but historically is in late September. The Bad Ragaz Hall Oktoberfest community event lineup will consist of the following:
Friday, Sept. 20 - Free admission. Enjoy $5 biers, specialty menu items and free Munich pretzels with purchase from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 21 - Free admission. Enjoy $5 biers, specialty menu items, free Munich pretzels with purchase, German accordion player from 3-7 p.m. and South Florida funk-rock band The People UpStairs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday attendees will have the opportunity to win tickets to the 40th Annual Oktoberfest event hosted by The American German Club of the Palm Beaches.
Sunday, Sept. 22 - Free admission. Enjoy $5 biers, specialty menu items and free Munich pretzels with purchase from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Bad Ragaz Hall celebrates not just Germany but all European cultures, offering 24 draught biers and 50 imported bottles from all over the continent (18 of which are German). Guests can enjoy international biers poured from custom ceramic bier towers and signature cocktails at its center bar or communal tables.
