Baby Basics and Waterside Shops Celebrate 3 Millionth Diaper
Baby Basics of Collier County, a volunteer organization that provides free diapers to low-income, working families in Collier County will host a, "3 Millionth Diaper Celebration," on Thursday, March 13 at Waterside Shops in Naples.

The organization has impacted more than 1,600 families in Collier County and Bonita Springs in the past 20 years by distributing 3 million diapers. The 3 Millionth Diaper Celebration will allow volunteers and donors to celebrate this amazing accomplishment, while also educating the public about the organization's mission. The evening will include live music and an array of delicious appetizers from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Individual tickets to The 3 Millionth Diaper Celebration are just $25.
Baby Basics of Collier County's 3 Millionth Diaper Celebration is sponsored by Waterside Shops, Life in Naples, Little Luxe Children's Boutique, Classical 88.7, IMA Creative, Inc., Shula's, Willow Creek Advisors, Patrick Dearborn LLC, The Beacon Group at Morgan Stanley, and Escales PARIS.
Currently, 345 infants and toddlers receive help from Baby Basics of Collier County. Families interested in the program are referred from local social service agencies and screened for qualification. To participate in the program, families must meet certain criteria which include at least one working parent or guardian, demonstrated financial need, and the family may not be receiving federal or state cash assistance. Families who meet the criteria come to the nearest distribution site to pick up a free supply of diapers. Volunteers greet the families, help them select the proper size, and provide information about the next distribution and other opportunities for supportive services.
Baby Basics is a 100 percent volunteer organization, and all donations, and sponsorship funds except those specifically earmarked for administrative costs, are used to purchase diapers.
