Mitchell, who attended Howard University, received her Masters of Fine Arts from The National Theatre Conservatory and her BFA in Theatre, studied classical theatre at Oxford University in England and improvisational comedy with The Groundlings located in Los Angeles, and is a formally trained actress who has appeared in numerous stage plays, television sitcoms, national commercials and movies.
