  • (1888PressRelease) April 21, 2016 - West Bromwich, West Midlands, April 20, 2016: Atlas Copco is pleased to announce its involvement with two new Bolting Solution Centres in Singapore and Malaysia. As part of its aim to improve local support around the world, Atlas Copco has invested in these new centres to ensure that its customers not only have local access to the comprehensive Tentec range of bolting equipment available across the organisation but they can also call on the expertise of trained engineers for service and maintenance and applications advice.

The new Centres will feature the renowned Tentec range of bolt tightening products for a range of industries including oil & gas, wind energy, power generation, mining and heavy engineering. Present at the opening of the Centre in Singapore, Roy Sheldon, Business Manager, Energy commented: "We have always been active in both Singapore and Malaysia but this new focus on bolting means that our customers will get an improved service. Working with other Atlas Copco brands and companies will mean a one-stop bolting solution for all customers."

As well as product and application information, these new bolting centres will provide accredited training and competence assurance programmes in the assembly and tightening of bolted connections. A unique aspect of this approach to training is that not only are the trainees taught academic and practical skills, but the course also prepares them for working away from home for long periods of time and how to handle the extreme circumstances they may find themselves in.

Atlas Copco is also looking to recruit new distributors in Indonesia for the Tentec range. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Roy Sheldon.
