Atlantic Plastic Surgery Center Fall Open House Popular Beauty Event Continues to Grow
Atlantic Plastic Surgery and the Skin Wellness Center were packed with people and the din of an exciting social event on Thursday evening, November 14 at the annual Fall Open House.
- (1888PressRelease) December 06, 2014 - Portsmouth, NH - New attendees and current patients chatted with Dr. Lawrence Gray, Dr. Mark Ballentyne, staff and representatives from companies who make the most widely used dermal fillers, skin products, cosmetic lasers, and fat freezing technology.
Dr. Lawrence Gray conducted free five to ten minute surgical consultations. People who signed up for the free surgical consultations were able to meet with Dr. Gray to privately discuss an aesthetic enhancement. Most often at Open House events people want to discuss facial procedures such as a facelift, also called rhytidectomy, or an eyelid lift, also called blepharoplasty. Patients do also inquire about breast augmentation, neck lift, tummy tuck and liposuction. As the open house is not conducive to a full examination, those patients are offered a free consultation scheduled for normal business hours.
Representatives from breast implant companies provided an opportunity to see and feel actual implants as well as ask the experts about implant options and sizing.
Non-surgical enhancements, were presented by Dr. Mark Ballentyne through live demonstrations of dermal fillers for the nasolabial folds, between the eyebrows and lips using Juvederm and Restylane. Many people remarked that they enjoyed witnessing "before" and "after" results and seeing that the topical anesthetic made it very comfortable for the patient to undergo the injections. Dr. Ballentyne also gave demonstrations of Botox and Dysport injections.
Event attendees crowded into the room to watch while Dr. Ballentyne answered questions about the product and how long it lasts. More than one person asked what the difference was between Botox and dermal fillers. Dr. Ballentyne's response was that generally Botox and Dysportis great for smoothing muscles on the forehead, around the eyes and between the eyebrows that otherwise will form a wrinkle. Dermal fillers correct wrinkles that have already formed.
A demonstration of a Coolsculpting treatments were given by a nurse and a Coolscultping representative for two different sites on a (pre-arranged) volunteer patient's midsection. Coolscultping technology uses controlled cooling to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat cells without surgery or downtime. The procedure is FDA-cleared, safe and effective. The treatment was on hour long so attendees wandered and asked questions of the volunteer, such as, "How does it feel?". Attendees at the end of the volunteers treatment saw the "stick of butter" shaped area of frozen fat and watched the massaging which breaks up the crystallized fat cells so they can be eliminated from the body.
Free Neograft consultations with a Neograft representative were conducted. Dr. Mark Ballentyne gave a demonstrated of the new Fraxel Dual laser. The Fraxel Dual laser can take years of age spots and sun damage off the face in just one treatment. The pre-arranged patient prepared ahead of time with the application of a topical anesthetic making the treatment quite comfortable. Dr. Ballentyne performed the 15 to 20 minute treatment while event attendees watched and asked questions of both Dr. Ballnetyne and the patient.
In the Skin Wellness Center, Rachael Minnihan gave free Visia Skin Analysis to those who scheduled in approximately ten minute intervals. The Visia Skin Analysis Imager compares the person's skin with that of 100 other women or men of that person's age. Ms. Minnihan explained the analysis results and made recommendations to the attendee measured. If interested she spoke to the person about medical level skin care and other treatment options.
