  • (1888PressRelease) January 09, 2015 - New York/New Jersey - The Amber Court Assisted Living Communities, a family owned and managed, spanning two generations is pleased to announce that beginning today, all of its Assisted Living residences will be opening up their doors and acting as warming stations for community residents in response to extremely low temperatures. Operated by Amber Court staff, the warming stations will include free hot drinks, warm meals and a cozy place to spend the day. Local residents are welcome to come in and warm up as staff will also be providing tips on how to keep warm during cold weather.

    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY FOR BROOKLYN, NE SUFFOLK, NORTHERN NASSAU, NORTHERN QUEENS, NW SUFFOLK, SE SUFFOLK, SOUTHERN NASSAU, SOUTHERN QUEENS AND SW SUFFOLK, EFFECTIVE THROUGH THU AT 8:00 AM.

    Amber Court warming stations are located at each of their four Communities at 3400 Brush Hollow Road Westbury, NY, 1800 Waring Avenue Bronx, NY, 650 East 104th Street Brooklyn, NY and 1155 East Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ. It will operate daily 9 AM to 5 PM, from January 7th to January 10th. The elderly and senior populations are especially advised to take advantage of this free community service.
