(1888PressRelease) April 23, 2013 - People showed up over the course of eight hours last saturday to partake in the bargain sales on many household items. Putting in the time to spruce up many old items found in abandoned storage units, A Space Place was able to provide refurbished furniture, appliances, tools and toys all for the benefit of the community. Children were smiling with their new playthings as parents shopped for hardware and home decor. It was amazing that other people had just left behind these items that were so easily fixed up. And since everything was offered at such a low price, everyone who came down found more than enough that was in the right price range for them.

MADD was thrilled to work in conjunction with the A Space Place Storage Garage Sale, and A Space Place was generous enough to provide a hefty portion of all proceeds to the well-known non-profit organization. With one day of sales, families were happy while our roads were made safer thanks to the efforts of MADD.

A Space Place hopes to look forward to annual events such as these in the future. "We're glad to help the community out like this." Said Robert Burney, an intern who lives locally. "We New Yorkers look out for each other. And everyone who came seemed to have a great time." With the amazing turn out and the large sum of money raised, it wouldn't be difficult to see the A Space Place Garage Sale get a turn out like this every year as they bring the eastern Long Island community together.
