  • (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2013 - Aranca, a global research and analytics provider, has announced the expansion of its team in the US with the induction of Ted Smarz as Vice President of Business Development. The firm recently announced its aggressive growth targets for the year 2013-14 and has been building its team as it looks to add significantly to its existing portfolio of over 1500 clients, many of whom are in the US. In an earlier announcement, the company had spoken of their expansion into new markets as well as the addition of capacities in new Latin America and China centers.

    Ted has over 30 years of experience working at various US broker-dealers. Most recently, he managed the Bank of Montreal's US equity research group. Prior to that, he was CLSA's US research director where he built and developed the research group. The bulk of his career was spent at Prudential Equity Group (20 years) including stints in Internal Audit, Compliance and as the Associate Director of Research where he helped manage a team of about 50 senior analysts. He even led Thomas Weisel's India operations.
