  • (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2011 - Longmont, CO - Apparel Valley opened in October of 2009 as an online boutique offering a variety of brands that focus on women who are not willing to compromise style or quality. President, Danielle Siess had this to say of Apparel Valley's product offering, "Living in Colorado, you don't always have the styles you may be interested in at your local stores; and if you are like me, you don't have time to travel to places that do. ApparelValley.com offers unique item pieces at reasonable prices. The best part is that they ship directly to your home." Apparel Valley's online sales exceeded expectations in the first two years of business, which is why they decided to endeavor in opening the up and coming apparel boutique on Main St.

When asked why she decided to open a permanent retail location, Danielle replied, "Icelandic Design was the first brand we carried so we have a very strong working relationship built between us. We are now the largest online retailer of Icelandic Design in the country. When, we needed a location to host a summer inventory sale this past July, Icelandic Design was gracious enough to let us use their building. We had the sale for 4 days over one weekend. We were pleasantly surprised when--with basically no marketing-- women from all over the Front Range were stopping in, because they drove or walked by on Main St. I'm not one to let opportunities pass me by. Icelandic Design has a beautiful retail space that they only use twice a year and we saw a great opportunity there." Danielle was able to come to an agreement with the building owner (Gerdur Kristjansdottir) that would allow Apparel Valley to rent the retail space as long as Icelandic Design could use the space for their bi-annual warehouse sales. "I wouldn't dare take the Icelandic Design warehouse sale away from Longmont and the surrounding communities! It's where I do my holiday shopping, too!" says Danielle. "Icelandic Design has been our most successful brand up to this point. Opening an Apparel Valley brick & mortar store allows us to bring Icelandic Design items to Coloradans year round." Icelandic Design will not be the only brand Apparel Valley will offer: "My colleague, Shawna, and I have traveled to trade shows all over the country to find the latest fashions from around the world . This year's lineup is breath taking. Let's just say Longmont's ladies are going to very stylish this year . . . look out Paris!"

The ceremony will be part of the festivities in conjunction with the Art Walk held on Main St. every month. The store will be located at 471 Main St. near the corner of Fifth Ave. and Main St. "Downtown Longmont is steadily becoming a destination for shopping and entertainment," Danielle explains, "We are extremely excited to join the downtown district, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone we've worked with in getting our business off the ground--especially Doug Bene from the City of Longmont and Kimberlee McKee from the Lower Downtown Development Agency. We couldn't believe how nice and helpful everyone has been. It feels like we find good, local business people who want to help wherever we go-from our contractors at Precision Construction to the sign makers at A+ Signs for the Times to Sean Owen's at the Dicken's who is donating a cheese platter to our event. Longmont has a really strong core, and we want to provide exceptional clothes and gift items that are as exceptional as the great people who live here."
