  • (1888PressRelease) July 06, 2011 - Atlanta, Ga., USA - HBA IPDA Awards Recognize Outstanding Cosmetics, Fragrance, Personal Care, Skin Care and Sustainable Packaging Innovations

Anisa International, Inc. announces that their magnetic Brush with Genius Set developed for Bare Escentuals is the category winner in HBA Global Expo's International Packaging Design Awards (IPDA) in the new Tools/At Home Devices category. This is the first year for the category to be included in the awards, with the company taking the top spot. These prestigious awards honor the year's most innovative packaging in several categories including cosmetics, fragrance, personal care and skin care. As the only design award to celebrate the year's most innovative packaging in all of beauty's product categories, the HBA IPDA received more than 200 entries from major brands, niche players and indie companies. In addition to the new Tools/At Home Device category, the Sampling/Travel Size category was added this year as well, reflecting the growing areas for packaging innovation.

"It is an honor to be recognized for the creation and implementation of this unique magnetic concept in the Brush with Genius Set. We are privileged to have retail partners like Bare Escentuals who have been continually creating breakthrough beauty products for 35 years and who lead the introduction of new development into the marketplace," said VP of Sales Julie Scudder-Feldman.

The award winning product, the Brush with Genius Set, retailed and marketed by Bare Escentuals, is particularly unique due to its patent-pending magnetic technology, which allow five brush heads to be interchangeably placed on a double-ended brush handle, perfect for travel. In keeping with the company's signature vision of innovation, Anisa International developed the technology with the beauty consumers' continuing demand for more inventive and economical cosmetic tools in mind.

"We recognized the ingenuity of using magnetic technology as it applies to cosmetic brushes to offer our customers something truly beneficial that pairs seamlessly across our cosmetics portfolio. We feel privileged to be honored for bringing this innovation to the forefront of the industry. Being awarded the IPDA is the culmination of hard work between the Bare Escentuals and Anisa International teams, and we are proud to have such a strong partnership," said Sarina Godin, VP Global Product Development.

According to show organizers, past IPDA winners and finalists include products from L'Oreal, Estee Lauder, Coty, Avon, P&G, Revlon, GoSmile, tarte, Dead Sea Premier, Fredric Fekkai, Urban Decay, Sonia Kashuk, Pure Fuji, Smashbox, Bath and Body Works, Sephora, Mary Kay, Alterna, and many more.
