  • Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) July 30, 2013 - What do you get when you mix wayward critters, a backwoods animal hunter and a stiletto wearing CEO of a glamorous Texas beauty salon? A SHEAR WILD time! This scene played recently played out at one of Houston's most luxurious salons, Jazzy Girls Beauty Boutique. Known for its patented Luxury Elite line of single weft human hair; dubbed 'the red bottoms of hair extensions' and quality service, the burgeoning business owned by entrepreneur Velma Trayham served as an unlikely filming location for Animal Planet's hit reality series, "Call of The Wildman" starring Kentucky woodsman, Ernie "Turtle Man" Brown.

Calling on just any exterminator or varmint removal service wouldn't do for the ever-scrutinizing Trayham. Due to the nature of the uninvited visitor, the extremely squeamish boss lady rather chose to call on none other than the South's most popular and eccentric animal catcher, Brown. As timing would have it, "Call of The Wildman", currently in its second season, didn't hesitate to come to the rescue! The popular Animal Planet show follows The Turtle Man aided by his friend, Neal James, and his dog, Lolly. In the show, Brown catches animals without harming them and releases them back into the wild. The series is primarily filmed near Brown's Lebanon, Kentucky, home, but occasionally ventures out for special clients such as the Jazzy Girls Beauty Boutique.

The popular Animal Planet show along with it's production crew arrived bright and early at Jazzy Girls Beauty Boutique on the day of the taping to begin an investigation that would help them identify and capture the mystery animal. Greeted by the frantic Velma Trayham, Brown was made to promise that he would apprehend the animal without disturbing patrons of the salon or involving any of the uber feminine staff. What happens when "Turtle Man" and his unique animal hunting ways enters a luxurious ‪beauty boutique‬ full of ‪‎women‬ will make for very ‪amusing‬ TV!

Animal Planet announced that "Call of the Wildman" was the network's most popular show in the fourth quarter of 2011, garnering almost 780,000 viewers and is currently airing its second season consisting of 20 episodes. The Jazzy Girls Boutique episode will air on Sunday, August 4, at 8 PM CST. For more information on Jazzy Girls Beauty Boutique, visit www.luxuryhaironline.com or call 713-668-5300.
