  • (1888PressRelease) April 01, 2011 - Boonville, CA - Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale follows the critical success of Anderson Valley's Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale. With Winter Solstice up over 50% in sales, and Summer Solstice adding twelve ounce cans to its packaging lineup, the brewery is optimistic for a hot summer in craft beer. According to Brewmaster Fal Allen, Anderson Valley is "So excited about Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale. With our new cans, we think fans will have an even better way to enjoy craft beer, be it at the beach, camping, hiking or at home."

Anderson Valley Brewing Company has embraced cans as an alternative kind of packaging. Allen explains, "Cans are better for beer, as they protect the beer from light and oxygen better than glass. Even more importantly, cans are better for the environment with a much smaller carbon footprint than traditional packaging."

Summer Solstice will be available April 1st on draft, in twelve ounce bottles and twelve ounce cans.
