  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) October 06, 2012 - Victor Mooney, executive director of US based South African Arts International, ltd., will have the opportunity to enjoy Equatorial Guinea hospitality airborne when he flies from Madrid, Spain to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. Ceiba Intercontinental, The Republic of Equatorial Guinea National Airline, launched a historic inaugural flight to Madrid on October 4, 2012. According to media reports, this new route will increase up to sixteen weekly flights that connect Madrid and Malabo, operated from Madrid-Barajas airport by companies Ceiba Intercontinental, Iberia and Privilege Style.

Mr. Mooney will spend five days in Malabo where he envisions coming closer to his ancestral roots and reflecting on Pope John Paul II (now the Blessed John Paul) Pilgrimage in 1982. Africans still remember Pope John Paul II's visits proudly, and his message of love was received by Catholics and non-Catholics. In 1995, Mr. Mooney attended the Pope's first visit since the end of apartheid in Germiston, South Africa.

The culmination of Mooney's visit will end with a traditional African Send-Off Reception. Afterwards, Mr. Mooney will fly to Las Palmas, Canary Islands and row the "Spirit of Malabo" approximately five-thousand miles to New York for an AIDS-free generation. The Spirit of Malabo berth in Las Palmas is sponsored by Pasito Blanco, a world class marina.
