  • (1888PressRelease) March 26, 2011 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - Arabic based magazine Arabiyat International, interviewed American author Dorenda W. Madkins about her recent book "A Spice of Life. A beautiful poetic journey through the paths of life" (ISBN 978-1-4560-3869-4). Madkins was asked for her opinion on the Arab world revolutions that has been one of the top stories in news headlines. "The revolution is a sign of change. It was something that had to happen. Citizens who once felt entrapped can now feel human. We were all placed upon this earth equally and everyone, no matter the country, should have a sense of freedom and rights," Madkins said.

The interview covered war, natural disaster and the fight against racism in America through poetry and music. Madkins said, "Racism is something that will unfortunately be around as long as earth exists. I do believe that poetry and music can bring different races together to an extent. In this age, you find musicians experimenting with different genres of music that may have in the past been stereotyped as belonging to a certain race. You can visit poetry clubs across America and find a beautiful mix of races equally enjoying poetry. I see this as a positive change in the war of racism throughout America!"

When asked about the future of humanity in war, Madkins responded, "War is one of the most horrible events on our planet. There are many nations with an attitude that says they are superior to other nations. As long as there are leaders and politicians with this frame of mind, the world will never find peace.Until we can all sit back and realize that all we are doing is killing one another, humanity will continue to fall." Author and entrepreneur Dorenda W. Madkins has a blooming reputation for her bluntly honest take on government, race relations and life in general.

"I hope that those reading my book will find in it peace, direction and understanding. I wrote this book as a creative guide in going through the different emotions experienced in life," says Madkins. The book outlines rape, war, abuse and an array of meaningful life circumstances.
