    - The event raised more than $1.6 million in 2010. Event organizers hope to raise $1.8 million in 2011 in order to surpass $10 million raised in total for brain tumor research since the event began in 1994.

    - Registration for the 5K begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 30. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. and runs through the campus of Duke University.

    - The Family Fun Walk through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens will start at 11 a.m.

    - Other events scheduled during the day include a silent auction, survivor recognition, lunch and a check presentation.
