  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2017 - It's no wonder why San Diego based alternative rock band Jon Campos and The Incurables are #1 on the San Diego Alternative rock chart. Aside from drawing a regular enthusiastic group of fans at the House of Blues there, the band has just released an extremely polished, well done video on YouTube for the title track off their debut EP, "Tragic Tales & Lullabies". Not short on melody and hooks, this earworm track projects both the soul and the sympathy in Campos' vocals while narrating a story of love, life and loss.

Jon Campos and The Incurables have been professional musicians for many years and have been making their impression in the San Diego music scene. Formed in 2015 the band is currently comprised of musicians, Jon Campos (vocals/guitar) and Drew Gino Zollo (bass). They are professionals who have worked with major award winning Producers and been signed to major and independent labels. The band called on another professional, Grammy nominee Marc Desisto, to co-produce the album. Some of Marc Desisto's credits include U2, Pink Floyd, Melissa Etheridge and Don Henley to name a few.

Inspired from the great rock bands from the 70's - 90's, Jon Campos and The Incurables have been dominating the alternative rock charts with their incredible, heartfelt lyrics along and amazing rock sound. Jon Campos and the Incurables are #1 on the San Diego Alternative Rock Chart on Reverbnation, a music site hosting over four million artists with twenty thousand new songs added every month. Jon Campos and the Incurables are ranked at #18 on the National Alternative Rock Chart and #42 on the World Chart (both of which include over 10,000 artists). You can get their debut EP, "Tragic Tales & Lullabies" on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/JonC-iTunes and CD Baby here: http://bit.ly/JC-CDBabyEP.

The video was directed by Rich Varville; Writer, Director and Cinematographer (InDiego, A Thirst For Justice) and shot at the beautiful, artistic and somewhat haunting sculpture garden at Solerno Winery in Ramona, California. The setting serves to enhance the clear artistic intent and spectacular visuals. The video includes top notch animation thus post production took a good amount of time. The final video however, was very much worth the wait, seamlessly capturing the story behind the song with its powerful imagery in between takes of the band performing. If you haven't seen the video yet, you can watch it on YouTube at: http://bit.ly/TragicTalesVid.

The video is nominated in the category of Best Music Video at the San Diego Film Awards which will take place on April 2 at the Music Box. This is the fourth installment of the San Diego Film Awards in which they celebrate the outstanding productions of filmmakers in San Diego. The award show will air on CW-6 on April 9, 2017 at 8 PM PST. More info on the nomination can be found here: http://bit.ly/JC-SDFilmNominees.
