  • (1888PressRelease) May 29, 2020 - Founded in 1911, the National Exchange Club is a service organization supporting 630 clubs across the United States and Puerto Rico. Originally set up as a simple exchange of ideas among businessmen, the Club has become a prolific and powerful member of American communities from coast to coast.

The National Exchange Club’s 18,000 members offer three Programs of Service, including Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs. The organization highlights patriotism and pride in America, honoring military veterans and offering programs to benefit youth in all communities. Although projects may vary from chapter to chapter, they unite under their motto of Unity Through Service and their National Project for the prevention of child abuse.

Local Exchange Clubs serve their individual communities, are self-funded and are each supported by their own officers and Board of Directors. The goal is to form community partnerships with local business leaders and like-minded private individuals to take on the challenges facing families, youth and veterans in their region..

Mr. Walker was chosen as the Florida District leader due to his dedicated service in his local chapter and the Florida District. Walker was elected by fellow members to help further the mission of Exchange, encourage cooperation between clubs, work towards growing membership and serve as a mentor. His role also serves as a liaison to the National Headquarters.

Alliance IT, under the leadership of Mr. Walker and his partners, have been involved for over 13 years with the charity efforts of the National Exchange Club including working locally with Parenting Matters. Parenting Matters is an organization dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse in at-risk families in Manatee and Sarasota Counties In fact, Parenting Matters was started over 25 years ago by the local Exchange Club in Bradenton and Parenting Matters is certified by the National Exchange Club to use their child abuse prevention curriculum.

Mr. Walker will begin serving in his new position on July 1, 2020.
