  • San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) August 27, 2010 - All Seasons Homecare is pleased to announce that they will be participating in the San Francisco Memory Walk, organized by the Alzheimer's Association. All Seasons will be organizing a team to walk Saturday, September 11th at Mission Creek Park in San Francisco.

All Seasons took a very active approach to the event and founder and owner Lou Ann Mowry is proud to say that they "participated in helping raise dollars for the memory walk". In addition, Mowry noted that "Alzheimer's affects a large percentage of our clients" and it is very important to help raise awareness and the funds to try and prevent this debilitating disease.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory WalkŪ is an event designed to bring together the community to help raise awareness, support and money for Alzheimer's research and care services. This is your chance to make a difference!

The day of the walk is a fun filled event with food and beverages, family activities, entertainment and music, as well as remembrance areas and information on programs and services.

There are no fees to enter the walk, but all participants are encouraged to raise money for the cause. Turn this day into a communal event by gathering a team of friends, family, co-workers or neighbors for a 3 mile or 1.5 mile short cut walk. If you get enough people interested, break into two teams and hold a friendly fundraising competition between the two of you.

    To take action:
    1. Register. It's free and easy to do.
    2. Form a team.
    3. Fundraise. Help in the fight against Alzheimer's.
    4. Get Creative. A variety of tools are provided to help you raise funds.
    5. Walk! Join others as you MOVE to end Alzheimer's.
The Alzheimer's Association's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through increased research and research funding, to provide support and improve care for all affected, and to decrease the risk and occurrence of dementia by promoting and teaching about brain health.
