Akira Systems Completes New Human Services and Justice Coordinating Comittee (HSJCC) Web Portal

(1888PressRelease) January 22, 2014 - ConnexOntario Health Services Information announced today the completion of the new Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee (HSJCC) web portal. The new HSJCC site, found at http://www.hsjcc.on.ca/, features:

• a content management capability, designed to empower end users
• a workflow that enables visibility of content from draft to publication
• the ability for users to expand functionality as needed

The HSJCC is mandated by the Provincial Strategy to Coordinate Human Services and Criminal Justice Systems in Ontario (1997) and established to coordinate resources and services, and plan more effectively for people who are in conflict with the law. The HSJCC Network, which has over 1,200 members, consists of a provincial committee, 14 regional committees and 42 local committees.

Brad Davey, Executive Director of ConnexOntario said, "The HSJCC Network is one of our most important constituents, hence this project was critical to ConnexOntario's broader mandate."

ConnexOntario, which exists to improve access to alcohol and drug, problem gambling and mental health services for the people of Ontario, developed the site architecture and requirements in consultation with the HSJCC. ConnexOntario subsequently selected Akira Systems Inc. through a competitive RFP process to develop the custom solution on behalf of the HSJCC.

Key members of the HSJCC were instrumental in ensuring that the requirements of this project were met, resulting in a functional site. ConnexOntario has now taken over the operations of the new platform and will continue to support it in collaboration with the HSJCC.

Akira Systems Inc. currently supports IT solutions for many organizations including Western University, London Health Sciences Centre, Good Life Fitness, Selectpath Financial, and Chatham Kent Public Health Unit.
